how long is the search?

Swami Ananda Prabhu's measuring rod for the realization and the end of search for truth can be depicted in these lines below.'As long as you do not know the truth, keep moving ahead. Once you know the truth, there will be nothing left unknown. If you feel there is something, however little, yet to be known, know that the knowledge of truth has not happened.'

It has been my constant endeavor to bring home the knowledge of truth to the realization of one and all. All it requires is the sincerity of purpose and a will to pursue the supreme. There needs to be a thirst to quench the longing in you for the achievement of what may look like unachievable. Sadhguru says that in the outside world we are all differently capable but when it comes to our interiority, we are equally capable. What we need to change would be our outlook and orientation in our life. We seriously need to prioritize our seeking. Delving deeper inside our mind, body, emotions and the life energy work in perfect harmony in us. In our day to day activities, we deploy these two faculties of memory and imagination and our personality revolves round this.
It has always been said that we need perception not information. In today's times knowledge is mistakenly taken to be synonymous with the amount of information you have. You may know the distance between planets and galaxies and how many light years it takes to get from the milky way to other constellations. The gadgets we have today makes it possible for that. We see so much of engrossment with the gadget that we have no time for the ones near and dear to you. It looks like there is a race and you are set to win it anyway. As someone said there is no time to stand and stare, life is slowly becoming more artificial because there is less focus on what is natural. All the information you gather is unfortunately, not comparable to the profoundness of knowledge and wisdom that comes to us through perception which is beyond the grasp of the five senses. The same perception has been rightly referred as the third eye which does not mean a crack in the forehead but a way to peep into our interiority. Sense and perception go hand in hand to realize the ultimate reality or the absolute.
It is like looking for the ocean in the ocean and the divine in the creation. Through sense perception one can easily fathom the depth of the ocean and the extent of the divinity. You can know what an ocean is by just tasting a drop of ocean water. Similarly, every atom is an indivisible part of the divinity. These days we have become exclusively science oriented and forget the inclusiveness of both science and spirituality. Initially, science said, 'matter can neither be created nor destroyed'. But now they agree to the yogic perception that 'Everything comes from nothing and goes back to nothing'. More recently, science has been echoing a yogic observation that 'Everything is one energy'. Is this also not the same as saying 'God is everywhere'.
There have been numerous ways how to know the unknown. Adhi Yogi, Shiva, himself said that there are as many pathways to truth as the number of atoms in the universe. It is only that our assumptions serve as stumbling blocks in our path to realization. Second is the lack of will to strive primarily because of ignorance. It is only sensible to ask ourselves what could be more important to realize than our own self. We give so much of importance to our mind and body, but seldom do we realize that we are a piece of life and that is the essence of our existence.
What is expected of a devotee or someone who likes to pursue the spiritual knowledge? First a deep interest to know the secret of life and the realization of the immensity of being human. Second, we need to explore with devotion the truth that surrounds the entire creation. It is always convenient to take the help of a Guru who is the dispeller of all your darkness. As said earlier a Guru is like a GPS which you need while traversing an unknown terrain. With regular practice, it is certain that the truth will happen like a spark on your forehead and you will have crossed the ocean of birth and death. A steadfast approach to these practices are certainly going to bear the fruit of success in spiritual path and take you to that destination from where you will never return.
