Youth Committee consists of following members:

  The functions of this committee are as follows:
  • Youth Committee will function under the banner of Bhutanese Youth in Iowa but as an entity of the BCI. All its activities, programs and events will be carried on as per the guidelines of the BCI’s Board of Directors.   
  • Youth Committee will be responsible to work toward uplifting and improving the opportunities for the school and college going Bhutanese students in Iowa. 
  • They will research on the various opportunities for youth provided by the state and the federal government and disseminate these pieces of information to all the Bhutanese families in Iowa.  
  • They will also help explore students’ grants and scholarship opportunities and educate the youth about these opportunities thus inspiring them for higher education.
  • This committee will also handle the games and sport activities of the BCI. The committee will be responsible for scheduling various games and sports related events in Iowa and also reach out to other states for participation in various games and sports. 
  • The committee will furnish an annual activities calendar and schedule events as per the calendar.   
  • And perform any other functions that are deemed necessary by the Board of Directors.
